Old Tobacco Road Quilt

Last year I started a Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt named "Old Tobacco Road." It came off the frame this weekend and got trimmed and partially bound. It's going to take a good while for me to hand stitch it down but it wont go on the bed until September as I think the colors are more appropriate for the fall anyways! The quilt is almost 115 inches square and I'm hoping it shrinks about 4 inches when it goes through the wash so it will be perfect on my bed.

The fabrics in the quilt are mostly civil war prints and Kansas Trouble prints I nabbed on ebay about 8 years ago for next to nothing. I love finding those kinds of bargains!  I opted to quilt it in a non-traditional pattern. The panto is called Wild Flowers and the thread is Omni in barley.

Ironically the next quilt I'm making is another Bonnie Hunter mystery!

  2. Thank you, Colleen! The quilt is called Easy Street. It's another older pattern from Bonnie and is lots of fun!
