Santa Wall Hanging

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

The other day, I found this unfinished door hanging/wall hanging in one of my fabric bins in the garage marked "Christmas fabrics" along with a printout of the pattern dating back to December 2006. The pieced border I originally put on was hideous and I should have taken a picture of it before I ripped it off. On went a quick border and then onto the longarm. I'm hoping to get it finished in time for Christmas 2013!

Here's a little of my progress.

Time ran out (meaning my feet were freezing, the sun was going down, and my tummy was rumbling!). I didn't get the off-white background quilted. It will get done today (I promised myself!), along with the embellishments and binding so I can put it on the wall!

I have a few people in my life I'm thinking of making a Santa wall hanging for. If you would like to make one of these, too, please visit Debbie Mumm's site for the free pattern.

  1. Great job, Bonnie. I made this one last year - it goes together nicely and makes a great wall hanging. I used batting for the beard! Have a wonderful holiday season - I love your quilting - it gives me plenty of inspiration! Bev
