Metro Medallion Quilt

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

As luck would have it, I was short on the yellow fabric and needed another 10 inches x 40 inches to complete my final row on Jenny Pedigo's quilt-along design of "Metro Medallion." I usually like to make my quilts at least 60 x 80, unless they are for a baby, a child, a bed, or a wall, and I didn't think about having enough yardage to expand the pattern when I started. (Where were my thoughts then and am I the only one who does this???) But this time GOOD luck was on my side and I found more of the yellow fabric online with free shipping. Yay for me! So the quilt is done but is about 6th in line of my own personal quilts that need quilting. I should have quite enough quilting to keep me busy this winter, I think!

A big thank you to Jenny for creating this fun-to-make block with her Quick Curve Ruler. To make a Metro Medallion quilt of your own, visit Jenny's blog for her metro medallion tutorial and medallion with diamonds tutorial.
