Storm at Sea and Serendipity

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

I believe this quilt pattern is referred to "Storm at Sea" but I'm not 100% certain. If you know the name, I'd love for you to share it with me as the maker wasn't sure. Storm at Sea is a pattern that is on my to do list but I just haven't gotten around to making one yet. This quilt I quilted with "Hurricane" and OMNI Barley, which is a golden color.

I like the movement that Hurricane gave the quilt -- it goes nicely with the animal prints, I think.

And I quilted a Serendipity quilt. Serendipity is a tutorial at Missouri Star Quilt Company and you actually can make a quilt from the leftovers of the first quilt, thus the name Serendipity!

Both were quilted with a cream colored thread and Bloomin Stars panto.

The weather is beautiful, breezy, and in the eighties here so I decided to put one of my own "art" quilts on the frame and finally get it finished. I hope to share a picture later this week. Crossing fingers anyway!!!

  2. I came across this pattern while looking for something to make for my neice who like animal prints. It's called Wild Style and made me think at the storm at sea too. I might give it a try.
