Black, Grey, & Yellow Quilt

I recently got a call from a lady for whom I quilted a baby quilt last year. Her name is Bonnie, too. (In all my life, I have never met more Bonnies than I have since I started quilting!) Bonnie recently made a quilt that was intended as a gift for her granddaughter's upcoming graduation and needed it quilted in a hurry. Luckily, I didn't have a quilt on the frame at the time and told her bring it by. We picked a quick, open panto, one with a few circles here and there (One Cloudy Day), and went with a grey thread to match the quilt top. As soon as Bonnie left the quilt with me, it went right on the frame and was quilted within hours.
When a quilt is on the frame I don't get to see but a small section of the quilt, maybe 24 inches, and when I pulled this one off the frame and laid it out, I thought, what a beautiful quilt her granddaughter will be receiving! The colors are stunning. I love the new modern trend of greys and yellows, and black is always a great accent color. I'm sure her granddaughter will love and treasure this gift from her grandma.
