My Favorite Utilitarian Quilt

Monday, April 22, 2013

This is my favorite quilt to cuddle under. I love the colors and the weight the batting gives to this quilt.

Thimble Towne, our local fabric shop, puts on a strip club class every month, and this was a quilt from one of Jeremy's classes. The fabrics are from Bonnie & Camille's line "Simple Abundance"  and I love them, but I pretty much love all of Bonnie & Camille's fabric lines. They make me smile.

The backing is a light blue Moda Bella Solid. Sometimes it's fun to see the quilting, and a plain backing fabric really lets the quilting shine.

I was pleasantly surprised with the stitch definition I got with two layers of Hobbs 80/20, plus it's nice and warm. The pantograph is called "Bountiful Feathers" by Lorien.
